The initial results are visible immediately after the injection, and the final results are seen after 7 to 14 days. At the end of those 14 days, you should schedule a follow-up appointment with your doctor for a checkup.Â
Various factors can affect how long hyaluronic acid lasts, including metabolism, lifestyle, sun exposure, and the treated area. All durations listed are averages and do not represent minimum durations.Â
Side effects following hyaluronic acid injections are uncommon, but may occur in some patients.
Bruises or hematomas may appear in the days following the injection. They disappear within a week and can be covered with regular makeup.
Inflammatory reactions such asredness, swelling, erythema… maybe accompaniedbyitching or painuponpressure and may occur after the injection. These reactions may last up to a week.
Hardening or nodules may appear at the injection site.
Very rare cases of discoloration at the injection site havebeenreported.
Any side effects following the injection should be reported immediately to the doctor, who will prescribe the appropriate treatment.
